Dead by Daylight Mobile servers will be down for maintenance starting at 2023 August 8, 3:00 AM (ET). This is expected to last about 2 hours and will also force players in the Trials to log off. You are therefore advised to log off earlier to avoid data loss. Users of older versions will not be able to log into the game after the update and must download the latest version from the app store. New content will be available after this update. 1. New character release:

Killer: The Twins and Survivor: Élodie Rakoto will be debuting.

Cost: 500 Auric Cells, 9000 Iridescent Shards

Details on character Perks and their background stories can be viewed in-game after the update.

 

2. New Map

Léry's Memorial Institute - Treatment Theatre is officially available.

After the update, Ranked Match and Quick Match players may find themselves in this new Map. Players can also choose this Map in custom games to play in.

 

3. Prestige and Prestige Perk System Rework

Characters do not lose all their Perks when prestiged, but must reach the specified levels again to unlock their Perk slots.

Characters will no longer get teachable Perks when reaching Lv.20, Lv.30, and Lv.40. Instead, they can choose between 2 random, usable Perks.

When leveling up a Lv.50 character, you can choose to prestige the character.

Each character can be prestiged up to 100 times.

 

Prestige rewards are as follows:

Prestige 1: Immediately unlock the character's unique Perks for all other Killers or Survivors (Lv.1)

Prestige 2: Immediately unlock the character's unique Perks for all other Killers or Survivors (Lv.2).

Prestige 3: Immediately unlock the character's unique Perks for all other Killers or Survivors (Lv.3).

Prestige 4: Unlocks a piece of the character's "Bloody" prestige Outfit and grants 10 Auric Cells.

Prestige 5: Unlocks a piece of the character's "Bloody" prestige Outfit and grants 20 Auric Cells.

Prestige 6: Unlocks a piece of the character's "Bloody" prestige Outfit and grants 30 Auric Cells.

 

Bloody prestige Outfit pieces and Auric Cells claimed prior to the prestige and prestige Perk rework cannot be claimed again.

For every character, Perks unlocked by prestiging other characters will enter the randomized Perk selection pool as per normal.

For characters you already own, the following rules will be used to determine your prestige level compensation after the rework. Compensation is capped at Prestige 9.

70 to 119 Perk Tiers would give +1 additional Prestige Level

120 to 169 Perk Tiers would give +2 additional Prestige Levels

170 to 219 Perk Tiers would give +3 additional Prestige Levels

220 to 269 Perk Tiers would give +4 additional Prestige Levels

270 to 319 Perk Tiers would give +5 additional Prestige Levels

320 or more Perk Tiers would give +6 additional Prestige Levels

A character's existing prestige level will be converted at a ratio of 1:3.

Once the new system is released, Teachable Perks already unlocked will be unlocked at Lv.1 for all characters.

Unique icons have been designed for each prestige level.

Once the new system launches, you can obtain an exclusive portrait background for characters who have already undergone the 3rd prestige in the character Shop. You can now go to Settings to display/hide the Deep Wound Status; increased the brightness of the Status.

 

4. Optimizations

Added a Trial tally action to display Trial outcomes and current character.

Optimized controls for The Huntress. Removed the settings where long pressing the Power button interrupts axe-raising to prevent misoperation.

Optimized operation experiences for the Active Ability Perks [Self-Care] and [Dead Hard]. These Perks are now directly used by pressing the button to prevent misoperation.

Replaced The Legion's Base Terror Radius and background Chase Music.

After completing an event task, the red dot tip may not update in real-time. Players must tap the event banner again to reset the red dot tip.

Deep Wound Status: The status' brightness has been increased.

You can now set up to 3 preset Perk loadouts for easier Perk swapping before entering the Trial.

Optimized the offline detection system.

Removed the previous setting where you will lose 1 pip if you get disconnected when tallying Trial results.

Added an in-trial offline detection system. This system will only determine that a player is offline if the player is offline for extended periods of time during the Trial.

Offline players will not get any rewards from the Trial or complete any task objectives. Players who are offline during a Ranked Match will also lose 1 pip.

Removed Emblem showcase at the Tally UI

Added a new language: French

Added low frame rate detection and reminder features.

GACHA: Every platinum pool only gives 1 Platinum Outfit. Once you acquire a Platinum Outfit, you will not get the same one again.

 

5. Events:

(1) The Entity's Treasure - Gameplay Updates

Card flipping in The Entity's Treasure will be replaced by spending Auric Cells or Sinister Stones to make a single draw or 10 draws at once. The Entity's Treasure will also have different pools to draw various Cosmetic Items or Relics.

Everyone in the server will get gameplay update compensation of Sinister Stones x20.

During the event, players can test their luck to unlock the new exclusive Outfits from The Entity's Treasure: The Twins' [Mushroom Forager] and David King's [Underworld Boxer].

First 10 Gacha Draws of the gold Outfit pool will be free!

First 10 Gacha Draws of the platinum Outfit pool will get a 50% discount during the event!

 

3. Weekend Bloodhunt Event

Event Time: August 11, 3:00 AM - August 14, 2:59 AM (ET); August 18, 3:00 AM - August 21, 2:59 AM (ET)

During the event, take part in Trials with the specified characters to earn double character Experience and Bloodpoints.

Specified characters for this round: The Twins, Jake Park, The Plague, David King.

 

4. Beginner's Bloodhunt Event

For the first 14 days after you create your account, all characters will be accessible (without having to unlock them), and you’ll earn double character Experience and Bloodpoint rewards.

 

5. A Binding of Kin Challenge

Event Period: 2023 August 8, 3:00 AM - 2023 August 17, 2:59 AM (ET)

During the event, complete the 7-day A Binding of Kin tasks to earn rewards and Challenge Medals.

Earn enough Challenge Medals to claim tons of rewards.

Rewards include: Sinister Stones, Iridescent Shards, and The Twins' Outfit set [The Twins Aberrations].

 

6. A Binding of Kin - Share and Win

6. Balance adjustments

New Off-the-Hook Protection system:

Survivors who get off the Hook will receive:

(1) 10% Haste effect for 10s.

(2) Endurance effect for 10s.

 

New Conspicuous Action system:

(1) Repairing Generators, self-healing, healing other Survivors, Cleansing Totems, Blessing Totems, Sabotaging Hooks, unhooking Survivors, and opening the Exit Gates are regarded as Conspicuous Actions.

 

(2) Added Conspicuous Action scoring events and visual cues.

Adjusted Haste duration when a Survivor takes a hit

The Haste effect that activates when a Survivor takes a hit has been shortened from 2s to 1.8s.

 

Adjusted Generator repair time

The time it takes to repair a Generator on your own has been increased from 80s to 90s.

 

Map balance changes:

(1) Optimized spawning rules for pallets and windows

(2) Added a rule to randomize the spawning of the basement area

(3) Added a rule to randomize the spawning of the gates at these Maps: [Coal Tower] and [Suffocation Pit]

 

Changes to the Hatch system:

Changes to Hatch spawning: The Hatch will only spawn and open when there is only 1 Survivor left, and is not affected by the number of Generators fixed.

 

Rule adjustments for keys:

(1) Opening a closed Hatch with the red or purple key requires 2.5 seconds.

(2) The opening process can be interrupted. Opening progress does not reset after interruption.

(3) The Killer can immediately grab a Survivor who is trying to open the Hatch.

(4) Once the Hatch opens, the Survivor will automatically jump into the Hatch and escape. The Killer cannot grab a Survivor making such an escape.

(5) A key with 0 durability cannot be used to open the Hatch.

 

Changes to the Killer's Generator Kick

(1) When a Killer performs a Generator Kick, it will immediately lose 2.5% of max progression and start to regress (lose progression).

(2) The time needed to perform a Generator Kick has been shortened from 2s to 1.8s.

 

Adjusted time needed by a Killer to damage Pallets and walls

Time needed to kick Pallets and Breakable Walls has been shortened from 2.6s to 2.34s.

 

Adjusted time needed to trigger Killer Bloodlust

(1) Chasing time needed to achieve Tier I remains the same.

(2) Chasing time needed to achieve Tier II has been shortened from 30s to 25s.

(3) Chasing time needed to reach Tier III has been shortened from 45s to 35s.

 

Adjusted the time required for Killer to Wipe Weapon after hitting Survivors

Time taken for a Weapon Wipe after a successful hit has been shortened from 3s to 2.7s.

 

Changes to Generator Regression

Regressing Generators can now also be subject to effects that reduce progression.

 

Killer Perk adjustments

(1) New general Perk added: [Shattered Hope]. Whenever you snuff out a Boon Totem, you destroy them immediately. Destroying a Boon Totem this way reveals the aura of all Survivors within range of that Totem for 6/7/8s.

 

(2) Changes to The Hag's Perk [Hex: Ruin]: Whenever a Generator is not being repaired by a Survivor, it will immediately and automatically regress its Repair progress at 50/75/100% of the normal Regression speed. Once any Survivor is killed by any means, this Perk deactivates.

 

(3) Changes to The Plague's Perk [Corrupt Intervention]: At the start of the Trial, the 3 Generators located farthest from you are blocked by The Entity for 80/100/120 seconds. These blocked Generators will be revealed to you as white auras and cannot be repaired by Survivors. This Perk deactivates prematurely once the first Survivor is put into the Dying State.

 

(4) Changes to The Clown's Perk [Pop Goes the Weasel]: After hooking a Survivor, the next Generator you damage instantly loses 20% of its current Progression. Regular Generator Regression applies afterwards. Pop Goes the Weasel is active for 35/40/45 seconds.

 

(5) The Doctor's Perk [Overcharge] is changed to: Performing the Damage Generator action applies Overcharge on the Generator. For the next 30s, the Generator's regression speed is increased from 75% to 200%. The next Survivor who interacts with that Generator will trigger a difficult Skill Check. Failing that Skill Check instantly applies an additional 3/4/5% regression, while succeeding in that Skill Check does not grant any progression but prevents the Generator from exploding.

 

(6) General Perk [Eruption] is changed to: If a damaged Generator has a yellow aura and a Survivor is in a Dying State at the same time, all affected Generators will explode, lose 10% progression, and start regressing. When the Generators explode, any Survivor repairing Generators will scream and become Incapacitated for 15/20/25s. Eruption has a cooldown of 30s.

 

(7) Changes to the General Perk [Jolt]: When you put a Survivor into the Dying State with your Basic Attack, all Generators within 32 meters of you instantly explode and start regressing. Affected Generators instantly regress by 6/7/8 %.

 

(8) Added the scarlet Add-on [Iridescent Flesh] for The Cannibal: Hitting a Survivor with the Chainsaw replenishes its charges. Limits the maximum tantrum duration to 5 seconds.

 

(9) Changed The Huntress' Add-on [Wooden Fox]: Grants Undetectable for 30s after reloading.

 

(10) Shortened the duration of the Illusionary Doctor from 7s to 6s resulting from The Doctor's Add-ons [Iridescent King], [\"Restraint\" - Carter's Notes], [\"Restraint\" - Class III], and [\"Restraint\" - Class II].

 

(11) Changes to The Clown's Perk [Coulrophobia]: Survivors within your Terror Radius suffer 30/40/50% reduced Healing speed and 50% faster rotation speed to their Healing Skill Checks.

 

(12) Changes to The Nurse's [Thanatophobia]: Each injured, dying, or hooked Survivor afflicts all survivors with a 1/1.5/2% Action Speed penalty to Repairing, Sabotaging, and Cleansing, up to a maximum of 4/6/8%. If there are 4 survivors who are either injured, dying, or hooked at the same time, the Action Speed penalty is increased by another 12%.

 

(13) Changes to the general Killer's perk [Hex: No One Escapes Death]: Once the Exit Gates are powered, the Hex will activate any Dull Totem left on the Map: Survivors suffer from the Exposed effect, and you gain 2/3/4% Movement Speed. Once the perk is activated, the aura of linked Hex Totem will be revealed to Survivors within 4 meters. This radius gradually expands to a max of 24 meters over a 30-second period.

 

Survivor Perk adjustments

(1) General Perk [No One Left Behind] is changed to: Once the Exit Gates are powered, healing and unhooking other Survivors grants 50/75/100% bonus Bloodpoints. Healing and unhooking speeds are also increased by 30/40/50%. The auras of all Survivors will be revealed to you, and Survivors you unhook gain 7% Haste for 10s.

 

(2) Changes to the General Perk [Guardian]: When you unhook a Survivor, the rescued Survivor benefits from the following effects for 4/6/8 seconds: they will not bleed Pools of Blood or get Scratch Marks and will gain an additional 7% Haste Status Effect boosting their Movement speed. Guardian reveals the Killer's Aura to you for 4 seconds.

 

(3) Changes to the General Perk [Spine Chill]: If the Killer is within 36 meters of your location, you will receive a hint. If the Killer is within range and looking at you with a clear line of sight, you benefit from the following effect: Increases your Action speeds in Repairing, Sabotaging, Healing, Unhooking, Cleansing, Blessing, Opening the Exit Gates, and Unlocking by 2/4/6%. This effect lingers for 0.5 seconds when the Killer no longer looks at you or goes out of range. The icon of Spine Chill reveals the current intensity of the Killer's Terror Radius.

 

(4) General Perk [Lightweight] is changed to: Scratch Marks are more scattered and last 3/4/5s less.

 

(5) Laurie Strode's Perk [Decisive Strike] is changed to: When unhooked (on her own or with the help of others), Decisive Strike becomes available for the next 40/50/60s. When grabbed by the Killer, a successful Skill Check will let you escape and stun the Killer for 3s. Decisive Strike then deactivates regardless of the success of the Skill Check. Once the Exit Gates are powered or when performing a Conspicuous Action, the Perk will deactivate. You are also more likely to become the Killer's Obsession.

 

(6) Bill Overbeck's Perk [Borrowed Time] is changed to: Endurance effect after being unhooked now lasts 6/8/10s. Haste effect after being unhooked now lasts 10s. Performing a Conspicuous Action deactivates the Borrowed Time effects.

 

(7) Changes to David King's Perk [Dead Hard]: When Injured, press the Active Ability button while running to get the Endurance Status Effect for 0.5 seconds but triggers the Exhausted Status Effect for 60/50/40 seconds.

 

(8) Changes to Jake Park's Perk [Saboteur]: While the Killer carries another Survivor, you see the Auras of all Hooks within 56 meters of the pick-up location. Unlocks the ability to sabotage Hooks without a Toolbox, an action that takes 2.5 seconds and has a cool-down of 90/75/60 seconds. The Auras of Scourge Hooks are revealed to you in yellow.

 

(9) Changed the general Survivor Perk [Wake Up!]: Once all Generators are powered, Exit Gates are revealed to you when within a 128 range. While opening the Exit Gates, reveal your aura to other Survivors within a 128 meters range. While Wake Up! is active, you open the Exit Gates 15/20/25% faster.

 

(10) Changes to Claudette's Perk [Self-Care]: Unlocks the ability to heal yourself without healing Items at 25/30/35% of the normal Healing speed.

 

(11) Changes to Claudette's [Botany Knowledge]: Increases Healing speed by 30/40/50%, but reduces the usage efficiency of healing Items by 20%.

 

(12) Changes to Laurie's [Sole Survivor]: Each time a Survivor is killed or sacrificed, you gain 1 Token. Each Token makes your Aura unreadable to the Killer within a radius of 20/22/24 meters. You are more likely to become the Killer's Obsession. When you are the last Survivor standing, you gain +75% speed when repairing and +50% speed when opening the powered Exit Gates or Hatch.

 

(13) Changes to Jeff's [Distortion]: You start the match with 3 Tokens. Whenever the Killer reads your Aura, 1 Token is consumed to activate the Distortion Perk. No Token will be consumed if you are within the radius of Boon: Shadow Step. For 6/8/10 seconds after Perk activation, you will not leave any Scratch Marks and your Aura will be unreadable to the Killer. You gain back 1 Token (up to a max of 3) for every 30 seconds spent within the Killer's Terror Radius. Distortion does not activate if you are dying.

 

(14) Changes to the general Survivor Perk [Resilience]: When injured, you gain 3/6/9% speed to Repairing, Sabotaging, Healing, Unhooking, Vaulting, Cleansing or Blessing of Totems, Opening of Exit Gates, and Unlocking of boxes.

 

Changes to Survivor Items, Add-ons, and Offerings

-Changes to [Ranger Med-kit]: 32 Durability, +50% speed when healing others, +16% to Good Skill Check zone, +15% to Great Skill Check zone, and unlocks the Self-Care action.

 

-Changes to Map Item Add-on [Retardant Jelly]: Slows the Map depletion rate by 20%.

 

-Added the general Offering [Bloodied Blueprint]: At the start of the match, the auras of Basement Hooks will be revealed to you for 20 seconds. Greatly increases the odds of spawning the Basement in the Killer Shack if said building is on the Map.

 

-Added the general Offering [Torn Blueprint]: At the start of the match, the auras of Basement Hooks will be revealed to you for 20 seconds. Greatly increases the odds of spawning the Basement in the Main Landmark Building if said building is on the Map.

 

Rework of The Legion (Killer):

Power:

(1) While The Legion's Power [Feral Frenzy] is active, every hit provides a stackable 0.2 m/s Movement Speed bonus.

(2) While the Power [Feral Frenzy] is active, every 5th hit will immediately knock the Survivor to the ground, but also end the Power and remove the Power Gauge at the same time.

(3) When the Power ends, the Power Gauge will start charging immediately.

(4) The Exhausted animation lasts for 3 seconds.

(5) Basic Attack penalty on the Power Gauge has been removed.

(6) While the Power is active, vaulting will no longer benefit from effects that increase vaulting speeds.

 

Add-ons:

-Changed Add-on [Fuming Mix Tape]: While using Feral Frenzy: The repair progress of Generators can be determined by the intensity of their auras. Generators not being worked on regress. Unlocks an additional music layer in the Terror Radius and Chase Music. Can be combined with other Mix Tapes.

 

-Changes to [Iridescent Button]: During Feral Frenzy, any Pallets you vault are immediately broken.

 

-Added [BFFs]: Earn Tokens for hitting Survivors during Feral Frenzy. Second chained hit: 2 Tokens. Third chained hit: 3 Tokens. Fourth chained hit: 4 Tokens. Fifth chained hit: 5 Tokens. Once the gates are powered, if 15 or more Tokens have been collected, gain a 4% movement speed boost when not using Feral Frenzy.

 

-Added [Stylish Sunglasses]: Shows the auras of Survivors who are mending within a 24-meter radius

Changes to [Filthy Blade]: Increases time required for Survivors to mend by 4 seconds.

 

-Changes to [Frank's Mix Tape]: While using Feral Frenzy, damaging Generators is 20% faster. Breaking Walls is 30% faster. The Power gauge pauses while damaging a Generator or breaking a Wall. Unlocks an additional music layer in the Terror Radius and chase music. Can be combined with other Mix Tapes.

 

-Changes to [Stab Wounds Study]: The auras of Survivors who self-mend a Deep Wound from Feral Frenzy are shown for 4 seconds afterward.

 

-Changes to [Joey's Mix Tape]: Survivors who self-mend a Deep Wound from Feral Frenzy are inflicted with Hemorrhage until fully healed. Unlocks an additional music layer in the Terror Radius and Chase Music. Can be combined with other Mix Tapes.

 

-Changes to [Stolen Sketch Book]: During Feral Frenzy, from the second chained hit onward, hit Survivors drop their Item.

 

-Changes to [Susie's Mix Tape]: Increases Killer Instinct detection range by 20 meters. Unlocks an additional music layer in the Terror Radius and Chase Music. Can be combined with other Mix Tapes.

 

-Changes to [The Legion Pin]: Survivors who self-mend a Deep Wound from Feral Frenzy are inflicted with Broken for 60 seconds

 

-Changes to [Defaced Smiley Pin]: Survivors who self-mend a Deep Wound from Feral Frenzy are inflicted with Mangled

 

-Changes to [Etched Ruler]: Survivors hit by a Feral Slash are inflicted with Oblivious for 60 seconds.

 

-Changes to [Julie's Mix Tape]: If The Legion is stunned while in Feral Frenzy, the Power gauge refills once the duration of the stun ends. Unlocks an additional music layer in the Terror Radius and Chase Music. Can be combined with other Mix Tapes.

 

-Changes to [Mural Sketch]: Increases speed bonus per hit during Feral Frenzy to 0.3 m/s.

 

-Changes to [Never-Sleep Pills]: The Legion's base move speed during Feral Frenzy is 4.6 m/s. Increases the duration of Feral Frenzy by 10 seconds. Gain 100 to 500 bonus Bloodpoints for each successive hit on a Survivor during Feral Frenzy.

 

-Changes to [Friendship Bracelet]: Increases duration of lunges during Feral Frenzy by 0.3 seconds.

 

-Changes to [Mischief List]: Increases the duration of Feral Frenzy by 2 second.

 

-Changes to [Scratched Ruler]: Decreases Feral Frenzy recharge time by 5 seconds.

 

-Changes to [Smiley Face Pin]: Survivors who self-mend a Deep Wound from Feral Frenzy are inflicted with Blindness for 60 seconds.

 

-Add-ons removed: [Cold Dirt] and [Nasty Blade]

 

7. Issues Fixed

Fixed the issue where tapping the Ability button at the lower right opens the Perk description when playing a Survivor equipped with Active Ability Perks.

Fixed an issue for a number of devices where players experience black screens or extreme lag when entering a Trial.

Fixed the issue where no progression bar is displayed when The Cannibal uses his Power.

Fixed the issue where there is no post-action motion when The Hillbilly and The Cannibal damage walls using their Powers.

Corrected the stats displayed for the Survivor David King's Perk [No Mither].

Fixed the missing Bloody Clothes reward for prestiging The Legion and the missing Bloody Clothes for Jeff Johansen.

Fixed the issue where pressing the Cancel button fails to cancel The Trapper's trap.

Fixed the issue where equipping the All Hallows' Eve Lunchbox (med-kit) prevents you from equipping Add-ons.

Fixed [Ebony Memento Mori] and [Ivory Memento Mori] text description issues for a number of languages.

Fixed the background image multi-language errors for the Bloodhunt EXP multiplier event.

Fixed the Bloodmarket Shelf 5 display brightness issues when reaching Shelf 4 via purchasing.
